Coverage of 2010 NLGJA Convention

nlgjaThe 20th anniversary convention of NLGJA in San Francisco is over, but the coverage remains.

From stories about being out in high school to the gay blood donation ban to the informational picket by UniteHere, our 12 student project participants did an amazing job of documenting the convention.

Click here for the student project coverage. The LGBT and mainstream media also offered coverage of the convention.

“Gay journalists to face union picket line” was the headline of the Washington Blade article in anticipation of the event.

“Gay journalists shift focus to keeping jobs” was the headline of the San Francisco Chronicle article during the event.

Also, Ed Walsh at Examiner.com did a series of articles on the convention.

UPDATE: Matthew Bajko at the Bay Area Reporter wrote a great article on the ethics of outing panel, which featured Michelangelo Signorile, LZ Granderson, Mike Rogers and Michael Triplett.
