Today is the print debut of GA Voice, the publication started by former SouthernVoice employees. The owners lost a recent bid to obtain the assets of SoVo and the debut is just the latest episode in Atlanta’s LGBT media saga.
The debut of GA Voice comes as Atlanta is embroiled in a controversy over the raid of the Atlanta Eagle, which GA Voice is covering heavily. While their website is a little sluggish, it includes a lot of great graphics and a blog which is being updated daily. The print version leads with the Eagle story and it appears the paper has been successful in attracting both local and national advertising.

Hi Michael! Thanks for the shoutout!
Except in the HEADLINE of their cover story about the Eagle Raid they got their facts wrong, saying the city made a settlement offer when ProjectQ makes it clear that is just not true. great way to start.
